Mainframe NDM

Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe NDM support for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL. You will bring strong expertise in IBM Sterling Connect Direct (NDM), a core qualification required to support secure, high‑volume mainframe file transfers.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Monitor and support NDM production queues, investigate transfer failures, perform IPCS abend analysis, and ensure timely resolution with proper incident tracking.
• Install, configure, and upgrade IBM Sterling Connect:
  
  Direct (NDM) using SMP/E, including parameter customization, node definitions, and maintenance application.
• Implement and maintain secure file transfer configurations, including AT‑TLS setup, digital certificate management, and adherence to enterprise security standards (SFTP/FTPS).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using REXX and JCL to streamline batch transfers, retries, alerts, and operational runbooks.
• Manage and troubleshoot network connectivity across TCP/IP and VTAM for data movement between LPARs and distributed platforms, coordinating with network and platform teams.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical procedures, configuration baselines, support playbooks, and issue logs; participate in change/release activities and on‑call rotations.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in mainframe production support, NDM/Connect:
  
  Direct administration, or systems programming.
• Strong expertise in IBM Sterling Connect:
  
  Direct (NDM), JCL, REXX, SMP/E, and mainframe diagnostic tools such as TSO/ISPF and IPCS.
• Hands‑on experience with secure file transfer protocols (SFTP/FTPS), TCP/IP and VTAM networking, and troubleshooting high‑volume batch file transfer issues.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
