Position: Observability Engineer - Grafana / Monitoring
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Salary: $90.00 USD Hourly - $95.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Observability Engineer - Grafana / Monitoring

Key Responsibilities

• Embed observability capabilities by design across all provisioned infrastructure blueprints, including:
  • Logging
  • Metrics
  • Distributed tracing
  • Dashboards
  • Operational telemetry
• Ensure observability is consistently integrated as part of infrastructure provisioning and platform standards
• Implement and enforce observability standards and operational baselines
• Automate observability onboarding as part of environment and service provisioning
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure visibility, reliability, and performance monitoring are built-in
• Troubleshoot and optimize observability pipelines and tooling to support operational excellence

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with Grafana implementation and dashboarding
• Strong expertise across core observability pillars:
  • Metrics
  • Logging
  • Tracing
  • Alerting
  • Dashboarding
• Experience working with enterprise observability platforms
• Experience integrating observability tools, including:
  • AWS Cloud Watch
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • Open Telemetry / AWS Distro for Open Telemetry (ADOT)
• Experience implementing observability frameworks, standards, and monitoring baselines
• Ability to automate observability enablement within infrastructure provisioning workflows
• Strong operational mindset with demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building observability-by-default platforms or golden paths
• Background working in cloud-native or distributed systems environments
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise production environments
