Seton Hall University's Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for a contract faculty position in Cybersecurity to commence no later than August 16, 2026. The position includes undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities in Cybersecurity and related fields.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesCandidates must be qualified to teach courses in Cybersecurity and in areas of Computer Science related to Cybersecurity. The role includes supporting our M.S. program in Cybersecurity, providing hands‑on lab experience, teaching 12 credits per semester, and participating in recruitment and extracurricular activities for cybersecurity, data science, and engineering.
Required QualificationsApplicants should hold a master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related field at appointment and preferably a Ph.D. Outstanding candidates with substantial, recent, and relevant industry experience, as well as a master’s and teaching experience, will receive full consideration. Successful applicants must demonstrate the potential to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and show substantial potential for supervising student projects in Cybersecurity and knowledge of emerging trends in cybersecurity education, including hands‑on labs and simulations.
