Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced People Soft Support Operations Lead to manage the day-to-day operations and technical support for People Soft FSCM (v9.2). This role requires deep expertise in financial modules, technical troubleshooting, and leading a high-performing support team. You will serve as the primary IT liaison to business stakeholders, ensuring system stability, timely resolution of production issues, and smooth execution of critical financial processes.
Roles and Responsibilities- Lead an onshore/offshore technical team to maintain 24/7 availability of People Soft FSCM (v9.2). Oversee daily batch cycles, journal postings, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Understand the full integration of sub-ledgers (AP, AM) into the General Ledger, troubleshoot reconciliation failures, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Utilize SQL, SQR, App Designer, and BI Publisher to debug People Code, App Engine processes, and develop or troubleshoot custom reports.
- Manage the production support queue, resolve tickets promptly, enforce SLAs, and perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring batch or system issues.
- Act as the primary lead during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes; coordinate with Finance to resolve stuck journals or out-of-balance reconciliations in real-time.
- Serve as the key liaison between IT and Finance, providing system health updates, explaining technical constraints, and guiding stakeholders on reporting or operational issues.
- Track team productivity, system uptime, and business satisfaction scores; implement process improvements to enhance support effectiveness.
- Coach and mentor offshore/onshore teams, handle high-pressure production incidents, and ensure adherence to best practices in People Soft support.
- 10+ years of People Soft Financials 9.2 (GL, AP, AM, Reports) experience;
People Tools 8.60.11 experience required. - At least 5 years in a lead or management role within a large-scale enterprise.
- Strong functional knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting processes.
- Expertise in sub-ledger to GL reconciliation, batch processing, and month-end/quarter-end/year-end close processes.
- Technical proficiency in SQL, SQR, App Designer, People Code, App Engine, and BI Publisher.
- Experience managing offshore/onshore AMS teams and coordinating across multiple business units.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with ability to present complex technical information to business stakeholders.
