Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Service Now Automation Developer to design, build and support end‑to‑end IT process automation using the Service Now enterprise platform. This role will focus on workflow‑driven automation that enables self‑service, reduces manual effort and improves operational efficiency across IT and cloud platforms.
What You Will Do- Design, develop, and maintain Service Now automation solutions using Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and custom scripts.
- Build and enhance Service Now applications using JavaScript (server‑side and client‑side scripting, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Catalog Client Scripts).
- Develop Power Shell and Python scripts to automate infrastructure, system administration, and operational tasks.
The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with Service Now development, Python and Power Shell scripting, integrations, and SQL Server development. This role will work closely with Service Now Engineering, infrastructure, application development, cloud, security, and enterprise architecture to deliver scalable and secure automation solutions.
Requirements- 5‑8 years of strong hands‑on technical experience with Service Now development, automation, integration, and scripting.
- 4+ years of experience with Service Now development focused on integrations including AWS, Azure, and VMWare.
- Understanding of Service Now data model, tables, and relationships.
- Extensive experience with Service Now integration solutions including Service Now API's, SSO, SAML, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, and REST APIs.
- Experience developing Service Now APIs, Workflows, Flow Designer, UI Pages, UI Macros, Business Scripts, Client Scripts, UI Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, Script Includes, and Security Rules.
- Advanced scripting experience with JavaScript, Power Shell, and Python.
- Experience with Service Now Integration Hub for rapid integration development and automation.
- Strong knowledge of Service Now catalog and workflow development.
- Experience implementing REST API integration with third‑party tools and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience with Git Hub and version control practices.
- Experience with back‑end SQL Server development is preferred.
- Good functional and technical understanding of Service Now CMDB.
- Knowledge and experience with Service Now CSDM framework is preferred.
- Ability to create custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Familiarity with Service Now Performance Analytics.
