AWS seeks an AWS Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) for Migrations to help grow the adoption of a portfolio of services including AWS Transform, AWS Application Migration Service, AWS Database Migration Service, Amazon Relational Database Services, and Amazon Elastic VMware Service.
Keyjob responsibilities
- Helping HCLS organizations implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.
- Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
- Defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad know‑how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
- Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
- Provide advanced technical knowledge to domain‑aligned GTM teams to unblock customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
- Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public‑speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re:
Invent, etc. - Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide; create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.
The Solutions Architects on our team provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to our largest Healthcare and Life Sciences customers. A typical day might include meeting with customers, collaborating with AWS technical product managers, working with others to build and test demonstrations and proofs of concept, and writing technical content such as blog posts and papers.
About the teamThe ASPI HCLS Specialist Solutions Architecture Team consists of GEN AI, Analytics, Containers, Storage, Migrations, and HPC Specialist Solutions Architects located across the US. This team is vertically aligned and supports the Healthcare and Life Sciences customer base consisting of some of the largest, most complex AWS customers. The team operates on key tenets including being domain experts who provide thought leadership with deep AWS expertise, taking ownership of specialist engagements, maintaining contextual knowledge, scaling through reusable assets, gathering customer feedback, and maintaining alignment with the broader AWS community.
BasicQualifications
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
- 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
- Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Hands‑on experience with migration orchestration tools such as AWS Application Migration Service (AWS MGN) or River Meadow, used to plan, automate, and execute end‑to‑end large‑scale migration workflows across heterogeneous environments to the cloud.

BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is – USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
