Desktop Engineer – ChromeOS & Device Management
This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly secure, large‑scale endpoint environment focused on modern device management, user experience, and security compliance across multiple operating systems.
Position OverviewThe Desktop Engineer will support and manage enterprise endpoint devices with a focus on ChromeOS, Google Workspace, and modern device management platforms. This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineer with experience supporting diverse endpoint environments, including ChromeOS, Windows, macOS, and mobile devices, within a large enterprise setting. The engineer will play a key role in device lifecycle management, policy enforcement, and end‑user support.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support ChromeOS devices using Google Admin Console
- Manage device configurations, policies, and security settings within Google Workspace
- Support and troubleshoot endpoints across ChromeOS, Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms
- Administer and maintain MDM/UEM platforms (Omnissa Workspace ONE, Intune, JAMF, or similar)
- Enforce device compliance, security policies, and access controls
- Support BYOD initiatives and ensure proper device enrollment and governance
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application‑related issues across enterprise endpoints
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and EUC teams to maintain endpoint health and compliance
- Assist with device provisioning, lifecycle management, and platform improvements
- 3+ years of desktop support or endpoint engineering experience in large enterprise environments (1,000+ endpoints)
- Hands‑on experience with Google Admin Console, ChromeOS management, and Google Workspace
- Experience administering MDM/UEM platforms (Omnissa Workspace ONE, Intune, JAMF, or similar)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple operating systems (ChromeOS, Windows, macOS, mobile)
- Familiarity with device compliance, endpoint security policies, and BYOD management
- Experience working in fast‑paced, enterprise‑scale environments
