We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with experience in MText (Meta Text) to design, develop, and maintain document generation solutions on mainframe systems. The role involves working with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and MText for batch and online processing.

• Develop and maintain MText (Meta Text) templates for document generation (letters, statements, notices).
• Work on mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into MText layouts and logic.
• Debug and resolve production issues related to document formatting and generation.
• Perform unit testing and support system integration testing (SIT) and UAT.
• Optimize batch processing jobs for efficiency.
• Collaborate with business analysts and QA teams.

• Strong experience in MText / Meta Text document composition tool.
• Hands‑on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2.
• Good understanding of mainframe file structures (VSAM, flat files), batch processing and scheduling tools (e.g., Control‑M).
• Debugging and problem‑solving skills on mainframe.
• Experience with CICS is optional but preferred.

• Experience with document composition tools such as SmartCOMM, Exstream, etc.
• Knowledge of banking/insurance domain.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies.

Typically 3 to 8 years in Mainframe development, with at least 1–2 years hands‑on MText experience.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT or related field.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $61,087 to $104,364.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.

Additional compensation may be eligible, such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
