Essbase Administrator; Senior Specialist - Data Engineering

Essbase Administrator / Oracle Cloud Systems Administrator

Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Essbase and Oracle Cloud Systems Administrator role responsible for managing Oracle Essbase on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, provisioning and maintaining services, and ensuring effective operation of cloud resources and user access.

• Managing paid orders, upsizing/updating services, terminating subscriptions
• Viewing and monitoring utilization and status of all Oracle Cloud services across identity domains and data centres
• Activating new services and creating service instances (databases, analytics, integration)
• Provisions Essbase 21c using OCI Marketplace stack, including VCN, load balancer, and metadata database
• Integrates Essbase with OCI IAM / Identity Domains for authentication; manages Essbase users and roles within Essbase
• Applies Essbase patches and upgrades using Oracle‑supported update procedures; manages VM health and logs
• Monitors Essbase sessions, checks active calculation scripts, manages locks, and terminates sessions
• Responsible for configuring backup and recovery procedures for Essbase data on OCI
• Uses Essbase Web Interface, Cube Designer for Excel, REST APIs
• Creates new user accounts, manages group memberships, assigns Identity Domain or service‑specific admin roles
