Compliance Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to support oversight and monitoring of our compliance and data use programs. In this role, you will help ensure the organization adheres to applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and internal policies by analyzing data use practices, performing structured reviews, and partnering with stakeholders across the business. This is a hybrid position based in Jersey City, NJ, ideal for someone who is analytical, curious, and eager to grow their career in compliance and data governance.
Responsibilities- Assist with Data Use Reviews, including evaluating how data is accessed, used, and shared across the organization
- Review documentation, contracts, and system evidence to assess compliance with contractual data use obligations
- Execute risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and document risks related to data usage
- Perform structured testing against established policies, procedures, and control requirements
- Document review activities, findings, and supporting evidence clearly and accurately
- Identify potential data‑use risks or deviations and escalation issues to senior compliance staff
- Support remediation efforts by tracking action items and validating corrective actions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Information Technology, Product teams) to gather information and clarify data‑use practices
- Maintain organized work papers and contribute to audit readiness and reporting efforts
- Stay current on internal policies and relevant data governance or compliance standards
- Minimum 1+ years' experience in compliance, audit, risk, or analytics field or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Risk Management, Compliance, or a similar discipline
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured review methodologies
- Understanding of compliance, audit, privacy, and data governance concepts
- Ability to analyze information, identify inconsistencies, and apply requirements to real‑life scenarios
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization and across all Business Units and departments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document findings clearly
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PowerBI
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Professional curiosity and willingness to learn regulatory, contractual, and data‑use practices
