Mainframe Engineer – CA7 Specialist

Jersey City, New Jersey, Tampa, FL, Plano, TX, Columbus, OH Duration: 6 to 12 months contract with high possibility of conversion Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Engineer with deep expertise in the CA7 scheduling product and a strong background in automation and workload orchestration.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills Extensive hands-on experience with CA7, with capabilities that go beyond basic batch scheduling. Proven experience in CA7 configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and system integrations. Strong proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and workflow optimization. Solid working knowledge of REXX for mainframe automation, utilities, and custom tooling. Strong understanding of job dependencies, calendars, triggers, and workload automation principles.

Nice to Have

Experience with Broadcom AAI (Automatic Automation Intelligence) for advanced workload analytics, forecasting, and monitoring. Pay Range: $55 - $62/h on W2 The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
