- Provide catastrophe risk assessment to underwriters.
- Review data from broker and client for quality assessment and data cleansing.
- Supplement additional data to enhance risk assessment (data augmentation).
- Leverage modeling tools and analytical techniques to identify key risk drivers and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Develop innovative catastrophe portfolio management solutions and insights to optimize risk profile.
- Enhance data analytics capabilities, automate data flow, and build new automation between systems.
- Create visualization tools, risk metrics, and mapping tools for underwriting leaders.
- 5–10 years of P&C experience in catastrophe modeling within Insurance or Reinsurance.
- Proficient programming skills; fluent in SQL.
- Full‑cycle development experience using Python, C#, or other languages to automate data workflows.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to business audiences.
- Strong problem‑solving ability, applying logic to evaluate alternatives.
- Business‑oriented focus with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Team player with ability to work independently.
Base salary range: $134,000–$184,500 annually, based on education, experience, qualifications, and location. Benefits include health insurance, wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401(k) match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off.
