Senior Business Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead analytical and domain-driven initiatives supporting an enterprise-wide Reconciliation Platform that underpins critical financial processes, including cash, position, and GL reconciliations, exception management, certification, and close activities. This role requires deep expertise in financial reconciliation processes, advanced data analysis, and strong hands-on technical capabilities (SQL, Python) to diagnose issues, strengthen controls, and drive operational efficiency in a highly regulated environment.
The Senior BA serves as a strategic partner and subject matter expert, working closely with Finance, Operations, Technology, and Risk/Control teams, and plays a key role in advancing data-driven and AI-enabled capabilities across the platform.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in financial reconciliation platforms (cash, GL, position)
- Experience working in a regulated financial services environment
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning, data validation)
- Advanced proficiency in Python (data analysis, automation, basic ML exposure preferred)
- Experience working with large data sets, ETL pipelines, and data integration
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with data visualization / BI tools
- Deep understanding of exception management, financial controls, and close processes
- Strong ownership mindset with ability to work independently and drive outcomes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking capability
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Perform deep-dive data analysis using SQL and Python to investigate reconciliation breaks, data issues, and control gaps
- Serve as a functional SME across reconciliation processes, including matching logic, exception lifecycle, and financial close alignment
- Drive adoption of automation and AI-based process improvements to reduce manual effort and operational risk
- Strengthen data quality, reconciliation controls, and audit readiness
- Act as a key liaison between business, technology, and operations teams
