Data Migration Consultant; Migration Cockpit​/LTMC

We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Consultant with hands‑on expertise in SAP S/4

HANA Migration Cockpit and LTMC (Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit) to support a data migration workstream for a large energy & utilities industry as part of an ongoing S/4

HANA initiative.

Location: Remote with periodic travel to New Jersey (Hybrid model)

Engagement Type: Contract — 12 months (extendable based on project needs)

Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder). No visa sponsorship available for this role.

• Lead end-to-end data migration activities using SAP S/4
  
  HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM/LTMH) for both standard and custom migration objects
• Analyze legacy data structures and map source data to SAP target structures
• Develop and maintain custom migration objects using BAPI, staging tables, or direct transfer methods as appropriate
• Build and execute data validation, reconciliation, and cleansing routines pre- and post-load
• Collaborate with functional teams (FI/CO, MM, SD, PM, IS-U) to define migration scope and object‑specific business rules
• Support mock loads, cutover rehearsals, and final cutover execution — including onsite presence in NJ during critical cutover windows
• Troubleshoot load errors, performance issues, and data quality exceptions
• Document migration object specifications, mapping rules, and load results
• Partner with basis/technical teams on LSMW-to-Migration Cockpit transition where applicable

• 4+ years of SAP data migration experience, with direct hands‑on work in SAP S/4
  
  HANA Migration Cockpit and LTMC
• Experience with custom migration object development (BAPI/staging table approach)
• Strong understanding of at least one functional module (FI/CO, MM, SD, PM, or IS-U — utility/energy sector experience strongly preferred)
• Experience with data mapping, cleansing, and reconciliation for large‑scale migrations
• Familiarity with LSMW and/or legacy migration tools; experience transitioning from LSMW to Migration Cockpit is a plus
• Strong Excel skills for data mapping templates and load tracking
  
  Excellent communication skills; ability to work directly with business and technical stakeholders
• Willingness and ability to travel to New Jersey as needed for onsite project activities

• SAP IS-U (Utilities) industry experience, ideally with a gas/electric utility
• Prior experience on full‑cycle S/4
  
  HANA implementations at large utility or energy companies
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology
