Business Data Analyst

Overview

At AIG, we are reimagining how customers manage risk. Join us as a Business Data Analyst to drive data‑driven decision making and support our General Insurance products.

• Build a deep understanding of business processes to identify and address critical issues.
• Work with clients to determine business requirements, prioritize them, define key performance indicators, and support the ongoing BI & Data Warehouse strategy.
• Engage business and development teams to design, document and iterate dashboards, alerts, and reports.
• Lead project activities, including facilitating requirements gathering and presenting findings to all levels of management.
• Analyze functional business processes and requirements, drive the development of user stories as a member of an Agile Scrum Team.
• Educate and train clients to use data as an analytical tool, enabling exploration and insight.

• BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of Business Data Analyst experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
• Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with an aptitude for researching complex data‑oriented problems.
• Proactive, results‑driven, and positive can‑do attitude.
• Experience working in a distributed team environment.

• Commercial insurance and financial principles.
• Agile team experience as a Business Analyst.
• Data profiling.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Proficiency in Word, MSExcel and Visio.
• Experience with BI tools and Python.
• Exposure to APIs and understanding of XML and JSON.
• Experience with AI technologies.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000–$110,000
