Our client seeks an SVP, Infrastructure Engineering leader for Mainframe Communications Systems Software within the Technology Services Group. The role oversees lifecycle delivery for mainframe hardware and software, leads teams administering z/OS environments, and drives modernization, automation, and cross-functional collaboration. The leader will coach managers, develop talent, and influence stakeholders across business units to achieve operational outcomes.

Rate: $80.00 to $90.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities- Oversee delivery projects for hardware and software lifecycle management across multiple mainframes running z/OS using technologies such as JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, source code management, SDLC practices, and security mechanisms including ACF2, RACF, and TSS.
- Rethink traditional service assumptions and drive modernization, enhancement, and continuous improvement through innovation and automation.
- Lead cross-functional, collaborative efforts and partner with data center services, production services, and application developers to shape new opportunities.
- Coach and mentor managers, leverage talent processes, and build a highly engaged team.
- 10+ years of diverse information technology experience. Financial services experience is a plus.
- Direct mainframe experience with one or more areas across infrastructure, hardware, system programming, and/or application development. Demonstrated learning agility to acquire mainframe knowledge and apply prior experience to operational outcomes.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams, build relationships, and drive strategic outcomes.
- Effective communication skills for client, team, and business unit leadership.
- Experience leading complex projects and programs.
- Experience with tooling, utilities, and data transport.
- Understanding of architecture and design principles.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels and communicate complex technical topics with clarity and brevity. Able to manage up, down, and across organizations.
- Preferred:
Knowledge in one or more mainframe disciplines; ITIL or ITSM oversight in Release, Change, and CMDB; installation knowledge of ISV software and IBM operating systems; knowledge of VTAM, TCP/IP, IBM Connect:
Direct, CA Session Manager, CA Spool; knowledge of JCL and ISPF/TSO; experience with frameworks for building and maintaining a mainframe platform.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in infrastructure engineering or related disciplines preferred.
