Role Overview

A senior technology architect responsible for leading the design, delivery, and scaling of advanced AI‑driven solutions within a complex banking environment. The role translates business strategy into scalable, secure, and compliant technology implementations that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and decision intelligence, while leading multiple agile teams and collaborating with business, product, risk, and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Work across business, operations and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions, prioritizing functional and non‑functional requirements into a technology backlog.
  • Contribute to the creation of the architecture roadmap for defined domains (Business, Application, Data, and Technology) in support of the product roadmap and development of best‑practice templates.
  • Clarify architecture, assist with system design to support implementation, and provide solution options to resolve architectural impediments.
  • Facilitate solution‑driven discussions, lead the design of complex architectures, and develop creative solutions through domain knowledge, experiments, and proof‑of‑concepts while ensuring flexibility, modularity, and adaptability.
  • Educate team members on technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices to foster innovative solutions.
  • Support the team in selecting the technology stack and preferred products for solutions.
  • Perform design and code reviews to ensure all non‑functional requirements (security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, reliability) are fully met.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience leading the design, development, and enterprise‑scale implementation of technology solutions within financial services.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple agile teams across concurrent programs with minimal oversight.
  • Extensive experience with data visualization and storytelling tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate insights to executive stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or advanced analytics with a focus on production‑grade solutions.
  • Strong ownership mindset, ability to operate independently, manage complexity and deliver results under tight timelines.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python and SQL, and capable of guiding engineering and data science teams hands‑on.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Scikit‑learn) and their enterprise application.
  • Experience with large‑scale AI implementations in regulated environments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with big data and distributed computing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Salesforce, data lake concepts).
  • Familiarity with on‑prem AI platforms and modern data architectures (data lakes, semantic layers, orchestration frameworks).
  • Proven track record of leading AI‑driven transformation initiatives in banking or financial services.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive strategic outcomes.
