NAM and LATAM Wealth Markets Technology Head
The NAM and LATAM Wealth Markets Technology Head will be a senior leader accountable for delivering the business priorities of the North America and Latin America Wealth Markets segment. This critical role involves defining and implementing the Wealth Markets platform strategy, driving the technological evolution towards a target state, and acting as the primary senior technology liaison for Wealth Markets business leadership in the New York/New Jersey area.
The successful candidate will lead the technology strategy and execution for equity trading within Wealth Markets, ensuring robust compliance with complex regulatory requirements in the US jurisdiction.
Responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership:
Define and execute the technology strategy for NAM / LATAM Wealth Markets, aligning with business objectives and growth priorities. - Platform Implementation:
Lead the implementation and enhancement of the Wealth Markets platform, ensuring a seamless transition to the desired target state architecture. - Business Partnership:
Serve as a senior liaison to Wealth Markets business leadership, translating business needs into technology solutions and influencing strategic decisions. - Equity Trading Technology:
Oversee all aspects of technology supporting equity trading operations, including order management, execution, and post-trade processing. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all technology solutions and processes are in strict compliance with relevant US equity trading regulations, actively monitoring changes and adapting systems as required. This includes considering new and proposed regulations that impact market structure, order execution, and data reporting. - Team Management:
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing technology teams responsible for development, support, and innovation in the Wealth Markets domain. - Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate technology-related risks, ensuring the resilience, security, and stability of Wealth Markets platforms. - Integration and Process Enhancement:
Lead the integration of functions to meet goals, deploy new products, and enhance processes. - Solution Development:
Analyze complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to define and develop solutions to high-level problems. - Architectural Guidance:
Provide expertise in areas of advanced knowledge of applications programming and plan assignments involving large budgets, cross-functional projects, or multiple projects. - Methodology Development:
Develop application methodologies and standards for program analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation. - System Design:
Consult with end-users to identify system function specifications and incorporate them into overall system design. - Mentorship:
Allocate work and act as an advisor/coach for developers, analysts, and new team members. - Influence and Negotiation:
Influence and negotiate with senior leaders and communicate with external parties. - Risk Assessment:
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications include:
- Wealth Markets Expertise:
Extensive experience and deep understanding of the Wealth Markets technology domain, specifically within North America and Latin America. - Equity Trading Landscape:
In-depth knowledge of the equity trading landscape, market structure, and operational workflows within the US, including front-to-back office processes. - Regulatory Acumen:
Proven expertise and practical experience in navigating and implementing solutions compliant with key US equity trading and wealth management regulations, including: - Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT):
