Agile Scrum Master
Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Onsite)
Role OverviewThis role requires a partnership with enterprise stakeholders as a Jira Scrum Master. The position involves leveraging Jira to manage boards, optimize workflows, and maintain alignment with Scrum principles and Agile best practices. The role also supports service management routines including change management, capacity planning, inventory control, problem management, and governance of non-permitted technologies. The candidate will develop working relationships with operations, project, and technology teams, building trust at all levels.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with enterprise stakeholders as a Jira Scrum Master.
- Leverage Jira to manage boards, optimize workflows, and maintain alignment with Scrum principles.
- Support service management routines such as change management, capacity planning, and inventory control.
- Govern non-permitted technologies.
- Develop working relationships with operations, project, and technology teams.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and support Agile practices.
- Manage backlogs, sprint planning, dashboards, and reporting using Jira.
- Track and report team progress using Jira metrics.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
- Design and deliver clear, data-driven reports for decision-making.
- Working knowledge of Scrum Master responsibilities.
- Hands‑on experience using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, dashboards, workflows, and reporting.
- Ability to track and report team progress using Jira metrics.
- Foundational knowledge of Jira roles and their responsibilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities to improve manual processes.
- Proven experience in Jira Scrum Mastery and deep knowledge of Agile practices.
- Skill in interpreting Jira reports and identifying trends in team performance.
- Ability to recognize potential impediments early and escalate risks.
- Experience with tools like Visio or BPML to document system designs and data flows.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database tools to support process analysis.
