Job responsibilities include working experience in On-premises Exchange 2019 / SE and M365 workloads (EXO, SPO, Teams & one Drive). Responsibilities also cover Exchange 2019 HA / Database Availability Group, Hybrid Mail flow, Edge Servers, Security, and exchange patching. Knowledge of Client connectivity and proficiency in scripting / Power Shell are also required.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills include 10+ years’ experience in Exchange 2019 / 2016 – On-premises and M365 Exchange, Teams, One Drive, and SharePoint. Any Certification on M365 / Exchange / SharePoint will be an added advantage.

Experience & Technical Requirements include core experience with minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SharePoint Server (on-premise) environments, with a strong focus on SharePoint Server 2019. Proven experience supporting large, enterprise-scale SharePoint farms (single/multi-farm, multi-tier architecture) is required. Experience operating SharePoint in production environments with strict availability, security, and change-management controls is also necessary.

SharePoint Administration & Operations requires strong hands-on expertise in SharePoint farm administration, including Central Administration and service applications. Experience with site collections, sites, lists, libraries, and templates, permissions management (AD groups, SharePoint groups, inheritance, least-privilege models), User Profile Service (UPS) configuration, synchronization, and troubleshooting, Managed Metadata Service, Search Service, Secure Store, State Service, and other core service applications is needed. Experience handling user access issues, permission corruption, profile resets, and access-denied scenarios is also required.

Patching, Maintenance & Upgrades require hands-on experience with SharePoint Server 2019 patching (Cumulative Updates / Security Updates), pre-patch validation, patch sequencing, and post-patch health checks. Coordinating patching with SQL Server and Windows Server updates and troubleshooting post-patch issues (search failures, timer jobs, service outages) are also necessary.

Automation & Power Shell requires strong hands-on experience using SharePoint Management Shell / Power Shell, including farm health checks, bulk site and permission operations, service application administration, scripted backup, restore, and cleanup tasks. Ability to write, modify, and maintain custom Power Shell scripts for operational automation is also needed.

Backup, Restore & DR require proven experience with farm-level, web application, and site collection backups and restores, SQL-level and SharePoint native backup/restore strategies, supporting DR testing and recovery activities, and troubleshooting restore failures and content database issues.

IIS, Windows & SQL Server require strong working knowledge of IIS administration for SharePoint (application pools, bindings, certificates, authentication settings), Windows Server administration related to SharePoint farms, and SQL Server used by SharePoint (content databases, service application databases, basic performance troubleshooting, coordinating with DBAs on maintenance and failovers). Ability to analyze ULS logs, IIS logs, Event Viewer, and SQL errors for root cause analysis is also necessary.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting requires experience supporting SharePoint incidents and outages, including performance degradation, search and crawl failures, authentication and access issues, timer job and service failures. Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (APM, synthetic monitoring, log aggregation such as Splunk is a plus) is also required.

Security & Compliance requires experience implementing and supporting SharePoint security baselines and hardening standards, permission reviews, audits, and remediation, handling audit or compliance-driven requests related to SharePoint data access, and understanding of enterprise change control and incident management processes.

Nice to Have (Optional / Preferred) includes experience with SharePoint Server Subscription Edition or upgrade planning, exposure to SharePoint Online / Hybrid environments, experience supporting migration projects from SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint Online, and ability to document operational runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
