GCP Platform Architect (VP)
Founded in 2007, DTI (Diversified Technology, Inc.) is a successful African American owned IT Consulting/Staffing firm based in Chicago's Loop. We focus on providing delivery, staffing, and supported services such as enterprise integration/implementations including, but not limited to, CRM, EAM, ERP, PMO, and QA. We service clients in SLED (state/local gov't & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.

As a GCP Platform Architect, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining identity management solutions to ensure secure and efficient access control. You will configure and manage identity management systems to support user authentication and authorization, implement identity and access management (IAM) policies and procedures, troubleshoot identity management issues, conduct audits and assessments, and maintain documentation for identity management processes and configurations.
In this role, you will own landing-zone and onboarding reference architectures across identity, network, and policy domains while governing technical decisions and exceptions. You will establish onboarding standards, align architecture with security and compliance requirements, and provide guidance for complex onboarding initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Configure and manage identity management systems to support user authentication and authorization.
- Implement identity and access management (IAM) policies and procedures in accordance with project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to identity management systems and processes.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation for identity management processes and configurations.
- Define reference architectures and standards for onboarding patterns, including tenancy, IAM, network segmentation, and policies.
- Lead design reviews and document architectural decisions (ADRs).
- Manage architecture exceptions and provide risk-based rationale for decisions.
- Align architecture with security and compliance requirements as well as platform engineering implementation needs.
- Provide hands-on guidance for complex onboardings and help resolve cross-domain issues.
- Senior Identity Management Engineer – Expert Level (10+ years of experience)
- 7+ years of experience
- Strong experience with:
- GCP Identity
- Networking
- Governance and Policy concepts
- Strong GCP architecture expertise across IAM, networking, and governance/policy concepts.
- Proven experience with enterprise architecture governance.
- Experience working with regulated controls and compliance requirements.
- Consistent architecture patterns across onboarded applications.
- Reduced architectural rework.
- Fewer exceptions over time.
Pay rate: $56-$79hr depending on experience
