Position:
Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) LOCATION : JERSEY CITY , NJ. (Hybrid) Role
Summary:
The Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing Oracle database environments to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and storage.
- Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage database security, user access, and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution.
- Implement database patches, upgrades, and performance tuning activities.
- Support high availability solutions such as Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience administering Oracle databases.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database 12c/19c/21c.
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, and SQL/PLSQL.
- Understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
