Job Overview
The Data Management, Database Specialist will drive initiatives for data lineage, platform migration, and regulatory projects, ensuring data delivery and compliance across operational and analytical systems.
Responsibilities- Lead story refinement and delivery of requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle, and resolve technical complexities with team members.
- Design and code complex solutions to integrate, clean, transform, and control data, building processes that support data transformation, structures, metadata, quality controls, dependencies, and workload management.
- Document system requirements, collaborate with development teams, and leverage architectural components to meet client and feasibility constraints.
- Lead testing teams to develop test plans, contribute to integration, regression, and performance test suites, analyze reports, identify issues, and triage root causes.
- Collaborate with technology partners and stakeholders to close gaps in data‑management standards, negotiate solutions, and communicate complex problem resolutions.
- Lead complex IT projects to assure on‑time delivery, adherence to release processes, risk management, and compliance.
- Define and build data pipelines enabling data‑informed decision‑making.
- Mentor Data Engineers, monitor key performance indicators, and enforce internal controls.
- Manage Authoritative Data Sourcing (ADS) and regulatory reporting data lineage.
- Create automation scripts for functionality, reconciliation, data migration, and integrity validation.
- Work with database architects, developers, application, and security teams to resolve issues.
- Execute database migration projects, support cutover execution, and post‑migration stabilization.
- 7–10 years of applicable experience.
- Strong hands‑on experience with RDBMS such as Sybase ASE, IBM DB2 (LUW), or Oracle.
- Data lineage and ADS sourcing management experience.
- Experience with database migrations.
- Experience with ETL tools, especially Informatica.
- Preferred experience in regulated environments and best‑practice implementations.
- Database migration experience and deep knowledge of database technologies.
- Data migration and reconciliation knowledge.
- Performance engineering, performance, and volume testing skills.
- Ability to work in a large team environment with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking, application development, data management, Dev Ops practices, solution design, Agile practices, collaboration, decision making, risk management, test engineering, architecture, business acumen, data quality management, financial management, solution delivery process.
1st shift (United States of America). 40 hours per week.
Pay$ – $ annualized salary, based on experience, education, and skill set.
