Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney Position Focus
This role supports a New Jersey insurance defense practice and is designed for an attorney with solid defense-side experience who can manage cases independently. The position requires strong litigation skills, client communication, and the ability to handle matters efficiently in a collaborative environment.
Scope of Work- Handle insurance defense matters from initial pleadings through resolution.
- Draft motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.
- Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Communicate directly with insurance carriers and clients on strategy and case status.
- Prepare matters for trial and assist with trial proceedings as needed.
- Conduct legal research and provide case assessments and exposure evaluations.
- Active license to practice law in New Jersey.
- 4–5 years of insurance defense litigation experience
. - Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
- Strong knowledge of New Jersey court rules and procedures.
- New Jersey Bar admission.
- Trial experience or exposure to high-value or complex matters.
