Salary: $65,000 to $70,000 per year
Monday through Friday: 8am to 5pm
Primary responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with suppliers, negotiating delivery dates, and addressing any inquiries or issues related to product sourcing and importation.
- Creating, tracking, and managing purchase orders from initial placement to final delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Reviewing all import documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork, to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Coordinating with Global Trade Compliance on all HTS classifications for import items.
- Clearly communicating and coordinating with freight carriers, purchasing teams, and warehouse operations to track purchase orders to final destination.
- Auditing freight bills to ensure proper charges per negotiated contracts.
- Providing accounts payable with accurate documents for overseas payment to suppliers.
- Maintaining all spec sheets for imported items.
- Addressing and resolving any issues related to shipment delays, quality concerns, or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in import sourcing, sourcing, or procurement.
- Ability to use logic and innovative methods to solve problems and identify effective solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel – including lookups, data sourcing, formatting, and pivot tables.
- Mandarin Chinese speaking experience is a big plus.
