The Gloucester Marine Terminal is operated by Gloucester Terminals LLC and offers stevedoring and break bulk services. The terminal, located in the Port of Philadelphia has direct access to highways as well as three rail lines that transit across the United States and Canada, providing unrivaled turnaround times for our partners.

Job Description & Duties:

A growing Philadelphia area stevedore and terminal operating company is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as Terminal Operations Manager. Successful candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, drug free environment. Candidate will have to direct and supervise labor throughout the terminal. Candidate will also coordinate with Terminal Operations to assist with scheduling and pricing of various terminal services.

Candidate will monitor truck queue and terminal traffic in order to meet all safety and productivity standards, and assist to resolve personnel issues when they arise. Candidate will also coordinate with other internal Company Departments, as well as Governmental Agencies, when required.

Individuals should possess the following qualities:

• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems, look ahead to avoid problems, and follow work through to completion.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and have the ability to supervise and direct groups of unionized individuals.
• Must be able to assume a leadership role, work independently, and participate in an established safety program.
• Ability to coordinate with internal departments, customers and their agents, and vendors.
• Good correspondence and computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) with the ability to learn in-house network.
• Ability to work the occasional Holiday or weekend shift when required.
• Must be able to obtain a “TWIC” card.
• Experience with Terminal Operating Systems a plus.
