Laborer

We are seeking a dependable Laborer to join our scrap metal yard team on the night shift. This is a hands-on position working outdoors in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Sort and separate ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal
• Assist with general yard cleanup and housekeeping
• Remove debris and maintain safe work areas
• Assist equipment operators and other yard personnel as needed
• Perform basic material handling and manual labor
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles or places in bins or barrels according to type, size, condition, coloring, marking, or other characteristics
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work around heavy equipment and machinery
• Reliable attendance and ability to work the night shift
• Scrap yard, construction, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred but not required

Schedule:

Full-Time – Night Shift 8pm-4:30am

Work Environment:
Outdoor scrap metal recycling facility; exposure to noise, dust, weather, and heavy equipment.
