Marketing Director, Email and Conversion

• The Marketing Director oversees the email and lead generation programs for 4 major beauty brands in a multi-channel environment.
• The role will be responsible for developing, optimizing, supervising, and executing the email acquisition efforts for new and existing customers as well as managing the testing and reporting programs.
• This includes overseeing management of all email retention, acquisition, lead generation, website testing and on-site conversion optimization.
• This role will work closely with the Digital Creative Department to constantly improve website conversion and increase customer acquisition through email channels.
• A blend of strategic and tactical experience is necessary. This person is expected to execute.

Individual must also be comfortable with basic direct response principles such as conducting ROI analysis and adjusts marketing mix to achieve customer acquisition and profitability objectives; evaluate market reactions to advertising programs, merchandising policy, and product packaging and formulation to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions, analyze customer lifetime value and lifecycle trends and adjusts marketing programs accordingly.

• 5-7 years experience in Digital Marketing Leadership role including prior management supervisory experience of a digital marketing team.
• Direct response and performance based marketing program experience is critical
• Experience in website optimization with heavy emphasis on metrics, data and driving conversion; a critical component to success in this role
• 3-4 years of experience with email customer acquisition campaigns
• Full understanding of on-page optimization methods such as key word placement, strategically optimized SEO content
• Expert in internet best practices and the impact that these have on SEO and inbox deliverability
• Ability to identify new areas of eCommerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking
• Provide expertise on current eCommerce industry best practices.
• Experience with website analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Heat Mapping technology, etc…
• Experience with email deliverability and IP reputation monitoring needed
• Experience building out successful Lead Gen programs
• Execute internet Marketing best practices that result in healthy customer acquisition, retention and growth
• Development of innovative creative

• Bachelors Degree required: e.g. Marketing or Business preferred
