QualificationsRequired:
- BSN
- 1‑2 years of recent/current acute care nursing supervisory/management/leadership experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
Preferred:
- BSN (duplicate – could be removed but kept for completeness)
- 2 years of Critical Care or Emergency Department experience
- Active NJ RN license or Compact RN license with NJ endorsement
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- FEMA ICs 100 and FEMA NIMS 700 certificates preferred
- ACLS
- Day Shift 12‑hour shift
- Per Diem
- Scheduled as needed with a minimum requirement of 1 shift a month
- Must work 1 winter and 1 summer holiday
- Provides oversight and resolves staffing, patient care, complaints, throughput/bed management issues; communicates matters to Logistics, Staff, Leaders, and Administrator‑On‑Call
- Allocates available resources to promote autonomous, effective, safe, cost‑efficient, and compassionate quality care
- Facilitates an atmosphere of interactive management and develops collegial relationships among nursing personnel and other disciplines
- Ensures compliance with policies, laws, regulations and provides standardized employee feedback on policies and clinical performance
- Has knowledge of patient population served and adheres to ANA code of ethics
- Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments, damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas and medical errors to unit leaders and hospital administration
- Provides clinical leadership for medical and psychiatric emergencies and oversees unexpected events
- Serves as a catalyst and role model that provides leadership and direction
- Responsible for collection of QA data as assigned
The Clinical Operations Manager, Nursing Supervisor, is a hospital administration representative and serves as the delegated agent of the hospital administrative team. Responsible for upholding and executing the mission, vision, philosophy, core values, standards of practice, strategic day‑to‑day hospital operations, and implementation of standards of care using current evidence‑based practices for all staff on all shifts.
