Registered Nurse; RN ER Part Time Evenings

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department, Jersey City Medical Center.

Pay Range: $47.85 – $67.04 per hour.

Part‑time evenings: 12 p.m.–12 a.m., 23.5 hours per week.

• Provide nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Maintain ethical standards and apply evidence‑based practice to advance patient care.
• Report safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to team members, collaborating with other providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through measurable interventions for improvement.
• Serve as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to individualize care plans.

• ASN or Nursing Diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

• Med./Surg. Telemetry and/or ER nursing experience.
• ER certifications.

• BLS upon hire and ACLS certification within 6 months of start date.
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.

• Evening shift, 23.5 hours per week (12 p.m.–12 a.m.).
• Monday – Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation.
