Pay Range: $47.85 — $64.04 per hour (Hourly)
OverviewAs a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse (CCL RN), you will assist physicians and allied healthcare staff in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac/endovascular, EP, vascular and structural procedures. You will utilize knowledge of pathophysiology to prepare, educate and support patients during procedures, whether monitoring, circulating or assisting with scrub procedures. Duties include TEE, CV, tilt table tests, ILR procedures, pre‑ and post‑care of patients, admissions, discharges and transfers.
EssentialFunctions
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring safety, ethical practice, evidence‑based care, and effective communication with the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include reporting safety issues, supervising delegation of tasks, setting priorities, and individualizing care plans for patients.
Scheduling Requirements- Day Shift, 12.5‑Hour Shift (8A‑9P)
- On Call Required
Provide comprehensive nursing care during cardiac catheterization procedures, including:
- Assist with left and right heart catheterizations and percutaneous interventions
- Perform intracoronary ultrasound, rotational atherectomy, balloon pump insertion, Impella insertion, left atrial appendage closure, and catheter‑directed thrombolysis for pulmonary embolization
- Support structural procedures such as TAVR and Mitra Clip, neurovascular angiograms, carotid stenting, and aneurysm treatment
- Manage peripheral and renal angiograms with necessary interventions
- Execute Watchmen, CardioMEMS, and electrophysiology procedures, including device implantations and ablations
- Strong preference for cath lab experience
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Must be I.V. certified from an approved facility or complete I.V. certification within 90 days of hire
- Completion of all orientation programs at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center
- Current active New Jersey RN licensure
- Baccalaureate or Associate Degree in Nursing
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) upon hire
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) upon hire
