Job Description

Porter – Somerset – Full time – $19.25 hourly rate. The area’s highest quality nursing care residence provides a warm and compassionate home‑like environment in a state‑of‑the‑art community. Working hours are 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm, five days per week, including every other weekend. Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Manager, perform cleaning tasks to maintain assigned neighborhoods and common areas in a clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary condition.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• General knowledge of safety and infection control precautions when exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Flu vaccine required during flu season.

Parker at Somerset is a 120‑bed post‑acute rehabilitation and nursing home located on 10 beautifully wooded acres in Somerset, New Jersey. As an Eden Alternative® registered home, we are well known for the compassionate, quality long‑term nursing care provided to elders in a comfortable, home‑like environment. We also offer comprehensive post‑acute rehabilitation with round‑the‑clock skilled and sub‑acute nursing services.
