Travel RN - Operating Room

Overview

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13‑week night shift travel contract at a Level 2 Trauma Center in Jersey City, NJ. The position requires both scrub and circulate skills along with robotic and ENT experience.

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care OR experience required
• Must be proficient in both scrub and circulate roles
• Robotic and ENT surgical experience required
• Experience in orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro procedures required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required

• OR setting within a Level 2 Trauma Center
• Patient mix includes all OR specialties except open heart surgery
• Specialties include orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro cases
• Robotic surgery cases are part of the patient mix
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Night shift schedule: 3x12‑hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• On‑call required twice per scheduling period
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• First‑time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former RWJBH staff (full‑time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Due to World Cup events in NJ during this contract period, recommended housing areas include Staten Island, Montclair, West Orange, and Belleville
