Hourly Pay Range: $47.85 – $64.04 per hour (based on experience and education)
Job OverviewAs a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (CCL RN), you will assist physicians and allied healthcare staff in performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiac/endovascular, EP, vascular, and structural procedures. You will utilize knowledge of pathophysiology to ensure patients are prepared/educated/supported during procedures, whether monitoring, circulating, or assisting with scrub procedures. Responsibilities include performing TEE, CV, tilt table tests, ILR procedures, and pre‑ and post‑care of patients, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Proceduresin the Cath Lab
- Left and right heart catheterizations with percutaneous intervention
- Intracoronary ultrasound
- Rotational atherectomy
- Balloon pump insertion
- Impella insertion
- Left atrial appendage closure
- Catheter‑directed thrombolysis for pulmonary embolization
- Structural procedures (TAVR, Mitra Clip)
- Neurovascular cerebral angiograms, stroke treatment, carotid stenting
- Treatment of cerebral aneurysms with coiling and pipeline interventions
- Peripheral and renal angiograms with intervention
- Watchmen, CardioMEMs
- Electrophysiology (cardiac devices, ablations, PVI’s, laser lead extractions)
- Cath Lab experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- I.V. certification from an approved facility; or complete certification within 90 days of hire
- Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center required
- Current and active New Jersey RN licensure required
- Baccalaureate Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing required
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) upon hire
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) upon hire
