Job Opportunity – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN – New Jersey

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required. Holiday requirement includes working or providing on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). Standard nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 in NICU and 1:3-4 in Special Care Nursery.

• 37-bed Level IV NICU with 16-bed Special Care Nursery within a 628-bed academic medical center
• Advanced care including high-frequency ventilation, ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, and complex surgical interventions
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Floating required to Newborn, Pediatrics, and PICU for appropriate assignments within skillset
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Local and travel candidates welcomed; first-time travelers accepted

• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of current Level III or Level IV NICU experience
• BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• At least one supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Core competencies required: developmental care, patient/family teaching, phlebotomy, IV starts and maintenance, administration of blood products, arterial line management, central line care, UAC/UVC experience, respiratory support (Bubble CPAP, HFNC, Vapotherm, ventilator management), GI/nutrition support including breastfeeding and tube feedings, neonatal medication administration including vasopressors and surfactants
• Preferred skills: charge experience, jet vents, oscillators, ECMO, Criti Cool body cooling, and neonatal transport experience
