Ropes Course Instructor – Summer Camp Position – We will certify you!

Join Oak Crest Day Camp as a Ropes Course Instructor. This is not just a summer job but an opportunity to help children ages 3‑15 reach their potential while developing your own skills. The camp runs from June 30 – August 22, 2025, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑4:15 pm (no night or weekend work).

Responsibilities: Teach climbing and belaying on our state‑of‑the‑art ropes course, including a brand new 40′ climbing tower. Provide a safe, supportive environment for campers and staff, overseeing daily activities and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.

Requirements: Must be 18 years or older. Applicants should be high‑school juniors or seniors, college students, or teachers with available summers. Ability to work with children 3‑15, strong communication, and a passion for outdoor education. Oak Crest will certify you in using climbing equipment.

Benefits: Salary of $4,100 for 8 weeks. Staff parties, outings, potential transportation arrangements, and the chance to be part of the Elite Oak Crest Climbing Team.

Location: Oak Crest Day Camp is located in Somerset, New Jersey (Franklin Township). Campers and staff come from nearby towns including Bridgewater, Hillsborough, Warren, Watchung, Basking Ridge, Belle Mead, Bound Brook, Branchburg, Colonia, Cranbury, East Brunswick, Edison, Flemington, Fords, Franklin Park, Green Brook, Highland Park, Kendall Park, Martinsville, Metuchen, Middlesex, Milltown, Monmouth Junction, Neshanic Station, North Brunswick, New Brunswick, Piscataway, Princeton, Princeton Junction, Raritan, Scotch Plains, Skillman, Somerset, Westfield, Whitehouse Station, and Woodbridge.
