Sample Processing Technician - Evening shift

Job Description

Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, seeks a Sample Processing Technician. The role prepares plasma units for freezing, testing and shipment while ensuring quality, safety and regulatory compliance. The position is located in Egg Harbor, NJ, USA.

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers (5%).
• Prepare units for frozen storage and collect/store plasma samples for testing.
• Perform routine maintenance on freezer and refrigerator, monitor temperatures, and remove ice buildup.
• Prepare frozen plasma units and samples for shipping following established protocol.
• Organize plasma boxes/documents for scheduled shipments and assist in loading shipments.
• Manage supplies, assist with inventory control procedures, break down empty cartons, and assist with proper disposal.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (essential).
• Experience in a laboratory, hospital, or other regulated environment is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs, maintain accurate records, multi‑task and work as a team player.
• Physical requirements:
  
  able to walk, stand, lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, lift up to 26 lbs (occasionally 32–50 lbs), work in cold environments (-20 °C to
  -40 °C), wear gloves for prolonged periods, and tolerate exposure to blood‑borne pathogens.

Supports continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen), maintains cleanliness, and assists other work areas.

Requires constant standing, frequent leaning, bending, crouching, reaching, lifting, and exposure to cold and blood‑borne pathogens.

U.S. starting hourly wage: $19.00.
