Are you an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety professional looking to make a real impact within a complex manufacturing environment?

We're supporting a manufacturing site in New Jersey that is looking to appoint an experienced EHS Manager to lead its Environmental, Health & Safety function.

This opportunity would suit someone with a strong background in the GMP industry
, although candidates from chemical manufacturing will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the site's Environmental, Health & Safety programme, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Drive a proactive safety culture across the manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP requirements and support regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Manage environmental permits, waste programmes, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Deliver EHS training and coaching across all levels of the business.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to embed EHS into day-to-day manufacturing activities.
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement across all EHS programmes.
Requirements
  • Previous EHS leadership experience within a GMP manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates from chemical manufacturing with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations, engineering projects, and regulatory inspections.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline is preferred.
