Some supplier quality roles are reactive.

This one helps shape what reaches the production line before it ever gets there.

A global food manufacturer is looking for an FSQ Raw Materials Manager to become a key part of its North American Quality team. This is an opportunity to work at the centre of supplier quality, supporting everything from new product innovation to supplier qualification, risk assessment, and continuous improvement across a complex network of manufacturing partners.

You'll be responsible for ensuring hundreds of raw materials supplied into multiple manufacturing sites meet the highest food safety and quality standards. That means far more than completing supplier audits. You'll work closely with Procurement, R&D, Manufacturing, and suppliers to evaluate risk, onboard new ingredients, investigate non-conformances, and support the successful launch of new products.

This is a highly visible role where your influence extends well beyond Quality. You'll become the technical point of contact for key raw material categories, helping manufacturing teams troubleshoot supplier issues while working proactively to reduce future risk across the supply chain.

The business has invested heavily in innovation, making supplier quality a critical part of future growth. As new products are developed and new ingredients introduced, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring suppliers are qualified, documentation is robust, and quality standards are never compromised.

Success in this role comes from balancing technical expertise with strong relationship building. You'll spend time auditing suppliers across North America, working with cross-functional stakeholders, and influencing suppliers without direct authority. It requires someone who enjoys asking questions, solving problems, and building partnerships that improve performance rather than simply identifying issues.

You'll already have a strong background in supplier quality within the US food industry, with experience auditing raw material suppliers and a thorough understanding of FDA regulations, GFSI standards, HACCP, PCQI, and supplier risk assessment. Experience with in shelf-stable or dry ingredient categories will put you in a particularly strong position, but above all they're looking for someone who understands how supplier quality contributes to a much bigger manufacturing operation.

The role offers a hybrid working pattern, together with approximately 35-40% travel across North America.

If you're looking for an opportunity where your expertise influences innovation, strengthens supplier partnerships, and directly impacts manufacturing performance across a major food business, I'd love to tell you more.
