Role: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 8 14 Years
Must-Have
Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, Test Automation, and Quality Engineering
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile testing methodologies, and QA best practices
- Hands-on experience with Playwright
- Strong experience with JavaScript / Type Script
- Functional, regression, smoke, integration, system, and E2E automation
- Experience migrating Selenium-based automation scripts to Playwright
- API testing using Postman, Rest Assured
, or equivalent tools - Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from the ground up
- Automation framework design, test strategy, and test execution
- Basic to intermediate SQL for database validation and backend testing
- CI/CD integration using Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, or Git Lab CI
- Defect tracking and test management using Jira, ALM, or Azure Dev Ops
- Strong experience with Git, Git Hub, Bitbucket, or Azure Repos
- Unix/Linux environments and batch processing systems
- Analysis of job execution logs, automation logs, failures, and data load issues
- Automated data validation and reconciliation frameworks
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Experience designing scalable and maintainable Playwright automation frameworks
- Experience with Selenium-to-Playwright migration projects
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with API and integration testing across multiple systems
- Experience supporting production deployments and post-release validation
- Experience with UAT, system, smoke, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Experience creating test execution reports, quality metrics, and stakeholder status updates
- Experience working closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Dev Ops teams
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience continuously improving QA processes and automation best practices
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
