Brief Job Overview/SummaryThe Coastal Research Center Swimmer supports water-based research projects by assisting with in-water data collection, field surveys, and equipment handling. This role helps research staff carry out coastal and marine fieldwork safely and efficiently while working as part of a research team.
Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities- Assist with in-water research and swimming-based data collection
- Support field surveys and coastal monitoring activities
- Help with setup, transport, and cleanup of research equipment
- Follow safety procedures for water-based and fieldwork activities
- Assist research staff with field operations and project needs
- Support basic data collection and documentation
- Work as part of a team during field and research activities
- Must be available any day, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
- Lifeguard or Dive (PADI/NAUI) certifications
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Military training may substitute certifications
- Enjoys hard work
- A team player
