Jetro Restaurant Depot in Jersey City, NJ is hiring for the Stocker
- Aisle position. This role requires you to provide prompt and courteous customer service, stock products on shelves, rotate merchandise, organize items, perform inspections, maintain cleanliness, ensure safety, and handle inventory to support restaurant operations.

Your work will center on stocking products efficiently. This means taking items from pallets and placing them on shelves as well as opening boxes and removing single items to re-stock shelves. You'll rotate merchandise in order to make sure the product does not expire on shelves, organize and front face items on shelves, ensure shelf pricing is correct, and perform proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations.

You'll assist in the review inventory for product rotation on a daily basis to prevent shrinkage and damages. Keeping the aisles neat and free of clutter is important, as is following a regular maintenance schedule of scrubbing and pulling out pallets and cleaning underneath. Continuously review the status of the floor for safety hazards. Promptly and safely handle any spills and remove any trash such as plastic wrap, plastic ties, pieces of wood or any other trash from the floor and discard appropriately.

Promptly inform supervisors of any low stock or out of stock merchandise.

Effective teamwork and clear communication with your supervisors, colleagues, and the customers you serve are necessary. Basic math and reading will help you handle inventory tasks accurately. A strong focus on customer service and commitment to company values will be key to your success.

You must be ready to wear steel-toe boots. Your lift and carry abilities include a maximum of 50 lbs for lifts from 0 to 60 inches, overhead lifts up to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs within 50 feet, frequent lifts and carries over 12 times per hour up to 50 lbs, and constant lifts and carries over 30 times per hour up to 20 lbs.

Horizontal push and pull strength is 500 lbs. You require 80-100% agility and dynamic balance, finger dexterity, and manual dexterity. Posture tolerance includes standing and walking constantly, twisting your head constantly, bending over and stooping frequently, reaching above shoulder level occasionally, climbing steps or ladders occasionally, and kneeling or squatting occasionally.

The environment is mostly moderate in temperature but includes exposure to refrigerated and freezer areas. Temperatures in areas close to the Receiving Department and Front-End vary depending on outdoor temperatures since doors are often open. You'll work around equipment in motion such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and scooters.
