Branch Manager – Plumbing Supply Company Position Summary

We are seeking a sales-driven Branch Manager to lead the growth and success of a name brand plumbing supply branch. This position is primarily focused on driving sales, developing customer relationships, growing market share, and leading a high-performing sales team
.

The ideal candidate is a motivated sales leader with strong knowledge of the plumbing industry and established relationships with plumbing contractors, builders, remodelers, and other trade professionals. The Branch Manager will be highly visible in the market, actively pursue new business, strengthen existing customer relationships, and identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability.

Candidate must be able to be in office every day.

Desired location is within 45 minutes from Jersey City, NJ.

Aggressive compensation:
Base salary plus bonus

• Develop and execute strategies to achieve and exceed branch sales and gross-profit goals.
• Proactively pursue new customers and new business opportunities within the local market.
• Develop strong, long-term relationships with plumbing contractors, builders, remodelers, developers, and other key accounts.
• Regularly visit customers and job sites to understand their needs and identify opportunities to increase sales.
• Grow sales with existing customers by expanding product categories and introducing new products and services.
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and track opportunities through completion.
• Identify market trends, competitive activity, and opportunities for additional market share.
• Participate in customer meetings, contractor events, trade shows, and other business-development activities.
• Work closely with inside and outside sales personnel to maximize sales opportunities.
• Establish sales goals and hold the sales team accountable for achieving results.

• Serve as a senior point of contact for key customers and strategic accounts.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and develop the branch's reputation as a trusted resource for plumbing professionals.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly while protecting the company's customer relationships and profitability.
• Understand customers' businesses, purchasing patterns, projects, and future needs.
• Develop relationships with decision-makers and purchasing influencers within key accounts.
• Recruit, coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Establish clear sales expectations, goals, and individual performance targets.
• Conduct regular sales meetings and pipeline reviews.
• Coach salespeople on prospecting, relationship development, product knowledge, quoting, negotiation, and closing.
• Lead by example through active customer engagement and business development.
• Recognize strong performance and address performance issues promptly.
• Create a competitive, energetic, and customer-focused sales culture.

• Maintain strong knowledge of plumbing products, fixtures, pipe, fittings, valves, water heaters, pumps, and related products.
• Stay informed on new products, manufacturer programs, pricing, and industry trends.
• Work with manufacturers and suppliers to identify promotions, training opportunities, and sales initiatives.
• Ensure the sales team has the product knowledge necessary to effectively recommend solutions and close business.
