Job Description

This role is responsible for oversight of executive protection teams and activities within a specific geographic region and the health, safety, and physical security of all attendees at Bank of America sponsored or hosted events. The Major Events Security Manager develops and implements comprehensive security plans and protocols, ensures the safety of clients and associates, and confirms proper screening and vetting procedures for all event guests.

They manage multiple projects and security assessments simultaneously, travel in advance of events to conduct security surveys, and maintain close working relationships across all lines of business. The position requires continuous analysis and identification of potential threats through monitoring across intelligence platforms, and the ability to respond to security situations on a 24/7 basis during events.

• Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for each event, including risk assessments, security staffing requirements, and emergency response strategies.
• Select, train, and supervise security personnel.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and private security firms.
• Ensure all security activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary contact for all security-related incidents.
• Communicate event security information effectively and securely to key stakeholders.
• Develop strong partnerships with business stakeholders, local and federal law enforcement agencies.
• Execute projects and assessments associated with the security of the senior management team.
• Manage expenses related to event security costs, in line with objectives and budget.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in security management role.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to interact with internal customers/leadership and external partners.
• Proven experience managing teams and coordinating with private security and law enforcement agencies.
• Proven critical thinking under pressure.
• Demonstrated self‑motivation and self‑starter ability.
