Hardware Technician

Overview

Our client is looking for Hardware-based Technicians to perform a large-scale build-out in Jersey City. The role involves building out new floors at a new Jersey City location and decommissioning the old site. This is a 12‑month project (with potential for extension) on a 1st shift schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, with minimal overtime but occasional evening and weekend work. The technician will travel between two sites in Jersey City.

• Deploy monitors and other hardware at new and existing sites.
• Set up workstations, Thin Clients, docking stations, and cable management.
• Conduct site surveys and plan deployments.
• Perform hardware installs, moves, adds, changes, imaging, migrations, and decommissioning.
• Document work and communicate updates to users via email.
• Ensure installations meet target dates using multiple request‑management tools.

• At least 2 years of experience in Technology Move, Add, Change coordination or fulfillment in a financial markets environment.
• Customer‑service experience with the ability to respond to email and telephone inquiries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; team player.
• Basic PC & hardware deployments, including PC builds, disconnect/reconnect, moves, adds, and changes.
• A+ certification a plus.
• Knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft Office Suites, and O365.

Pay range: $27.00 – $27.00 /hr.
