Telecommunication​/ISP Associate Project Manager; NY​/NJ​/CT

Role

The New Development Associate Project Manages will report to the Senior Project Manager – New Development at Honest Networks in our Construction department. They will be responsible for expanding Honest’s Gigabit Internet Network into new development apartment complexes in NYC, Hudson County, NJ, and occasionally CT. The project manager will work collaboratively with our real estate partners, construction trades, Construction Managers, technicians and foremen to provide a bill of materials (BOM), a scope of work (SOW) and provide onsite technical guidance and in-field hands necessary to ensure builds with quality and timeliness.

They will coordinate across functions, including working with network engineers, operations and account executives, to ensure successful execution of our build‑out.

This role is not remote and requires consistent engagement at both new development construction sites in NYC and our warehouse in Lyndhurst, NJ.

• Ensure successful execution against construction metrics (time to deploy, minimal network downtime, man hours per job, etc.) and reporting tools necessary for monitoring progress against company build objectives
• Organize and keep a clean and efficient job site. Plan week and tasks in advance to minimize downtime
• Create build plans/schematics and bills of material for Field Technician teams to follow
• Experience with telecommunications engineering – knowledge of how to splice fiber, build and terminate MDF’s and IDF’s, vertical and horizontal cable management, experience working with fixed wireless and fiber preferred
• Friendly and professional appearance at all times, including interacting with customers and building owners/managers on an ad hoc basis

• Based in the Tri‑State Area – New York, New Jersey, Connecticut or Pennsylvania, USA
• ISP/telecommunications experience preferred
• This person should have at least 1 year of experience in telecommunication, managing multiple teams of telecom technicians building internet networks in challenging environments (urban commercial and apartments/MDU)
• Familiarity with installing, terminating and troubleshooting ethernet (cat5/6) and fiber in residential (MDU/apartment) installs. Ability to operate OTDR, Light Meter, VFL and other fiber equipment/tools is a plus.
• OSHA 30/40 strongly preferred
• Knowledge of and ability to deploy fixed wireless radios, including millimeter wave (e.g. Siklu, Bridgewave, etc.), preferred
• Knowledge of DC power systems a bonus
• Very good understanding of building construction, including identifying PT floors, riser vs plenum environments
• Ability to create design schematics preferred
• Experience using project management software (e.g. Asana, ) is preferred

• Salary: $75-90k initial salary, depending on experience and skill set
