Resource Service Coordinator
The City of Jersey City is seeking a qualified Resource Service Coordinator for the Municipal Court. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Resource Coordinator is responsible for providing social service (quasi-clinical) supervision to program Case Managers and Peer Support Workers, and resource coordination with community program providers who deliver direct services. In addition, Coordinator will conduct oversight of individual service planning for participant-defendants based on presenting needs, and develop and deliver program mandate content and workshop facilitation.
Job Duties:
- Providing extensive planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring JCCS activities in accordance with policies and procedures, judicial standards, and the Guiding Principles of Community Court.
- Providing coordination, support, and oversight of the daily operations of JCCS program.
- Providing assistance and training in data tracking, including the collection of data and generating analytical reports.
- Managing federal grant statistical reporting.
- Providing monitoring of Case Managers with screenings, participant assessments, service planning and community referrals, and case status updates in court.
- Providing back-up for Case Managers with case screenings, participant assessments, service planning and community referrals.
- Developing and delivering program mandate content, and facilitating workshops with participants and assistance in implementation and coordination of other related court program services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in social services discipline (psychology, social work)
- At three years of experience in the field of social services (ie. mental health, substance abuse treatment), with supervisory functions preferred, or two years post-graduate degree. Experience working with young adult (18-24) population preferred.
- Broad clinical knowledge and application skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of office routines, equipment, and practices.
- Ability to comprehend established office routines and department regulations.
- Ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact in professional manner at all times.
- Must have a results-oriented work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
This is a Civil Service Job and you must eventually pass and qualify for the applicable Civil Service title.
