Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ
. This role requires strong Java, multithreading, and Kafka integration skills while developing microservices and working with Mongo
DB/SQL for data handling.
Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Develop high‑performance backend applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot with a strong focus on multithreading and REST API development.
- Build and maintain Spring Boot microservices that process messages into Kafka clusters and support real‑time data flows.
- Design and integrate APIs using Swagger and manage data persistence across Mongo
DB and SQL Server databases. - Utilize Git Hub, Docker, and JUnit for version control, containerization, and automated testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprints, code reviews, and continuous integration activities.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance, ensuring scalability and efficient communication between services.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in Java backend development and microservices engineering.
- Strong hands‑on expertise in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, multithreading, REST APIs, and Kafka‑based microservice integration.
- Experience working with Mongo
DB, SQL Server, Docker, Git Hub, and JUnit within Agile development environments.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
