Mainframe Engineer​/Developer

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Engineer/Developer to join our high-energy technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, developing, testing, and supporting mainframe code while ensuring smooth integration across development, test, and production environments. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
• Debug and troubleshoot application issues efficiently to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with environment and deployment teams to support migration from development to production.
• Perform code reviews, maintain documentation, and adhere to coding standards.
• Support ongoing improvements in system performance, scalability, and stability.
• Communicate effectively with partners and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Participate in migration and deployment processes, including Endeavor and secure file transfers (SFTP/AWXAY).

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe coding and debugging.
• 5+ years of experience with COBOL and CICS.
• 3–5 years of experience working with DB2, VSAM, MQ, and JCL.

• Strong understanding of CICS systems and dynamic transaction routing processes.
• Experience using DB2 tools, File-Aid, debuggers, and schedulers.
• Familiarity with core Java and front-end technologies (Angular) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Endeavor Software Manager migration processes.
• Experience with SFTP/AWXAY secure file transfer methods.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in team environments.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
