As a Software Engineer III-Python/PERL/.Net/Java at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank-Credit Technology team - you will be focused on delivering best in class IT solutions to the Credit Trading business where JP Morgan is a market leader. You will be part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you will execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

• Develop robust, performant pricing, trading and risk systems including building new applications & enriching existing applications using the most suitable technology choices. Align development with the overall Credit trading strategy.
• Work across entire software development lifecycle - requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, handover to operate teams.
• Work closely with the Quant team to develop pricing and analytic components in Perl/Python.
• Enhance the team by demonstrating best practice throughout the software development lifecycle: testing, code review, accurate status reporting, focus on application resilience and "silent running".

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Strong analytical development skills, solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and experience in real-time, resilient, high performance and/or risk and pricing and/or e-Trading areas.
• Proficient at least one scripting language;
  Perl / Python experience.
• Experience and recognized expertise in server side Java development and design.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in writing SQL queries.
• Experience in writing tests, object modelling and refactoring.
• Creative, quick-thinking, pragmatic, with an aptitude for solving problems with technology and an ability to quickly translate requirements into a sound technical design and implementation.
• Proven organizational skills, decisive priority management, strong teamwork ethic, excellent verbal & written communication skills.

• Proven ability in full stack development.
• Experience in servicing .NET Clients/UI with database backend is highly desirable.
• Strong technology generalist - experience building highly performant and resilient enterprise applications used within a high performance/realtime environment.
• Experience working in a team with a strong software development process (build, test, deploy etc.).
• A desire for knowledge of the credit industry.
